Theme Thurdays. This week "VEHICLES"

Hello and welcome to my selection for Theme Thursday!

This is a new meme hosted by kavyen at Reading between Pages.. “Theme Thursdays” will be open from one thursday to the next and anyone can post it. The rules are simple:

Theme Thursdays is a fun weekly event that will be open from one thursday to the next. Anyone can participate in it. The rules are simple:

• A theme will be posted each week (on Thursday’s)

• Select a conversation/snippet/sentence from the current book you are reading

• Mention the author and the title of the book along with your post

• It is important that the theme is conveyed in the sentence (you don’t necessarily need to have the word)

Ex: If the theme is KISS; your sentence can have “They kissed so gently” or “Their lips touched each other” or “The smooch was so passionate”

This will give us a wonderful opportunity to explore and understand different writing styles and descriptive approaches adopted by authors.

This week’s theme is – VEHICLE.

My choice from:  Ayrton Senna: The Whole Story by Christopher Hilton

In 1985, Senna moved to Lotus, where he stayed for three years. In 1988, he moved to McLaren, to win the World championship for the first time. He won again in 1990 and 1991. In 1994, he changed pits again, going to Williams; during the Italy Grand Prix, a fail in the steering bar caused his car to crash against the wall at 300km/h, and Senna died almost instantly.

  1. Ooh. Not a happy post. But a very descriptive one! Thanks for stopping by mine!

  2. Good job on finding a non-fiction theme! Sad but good job.

  3. Oh, This was such a sad snippet. I hate these car races.
