My Teaser Tuesday for this week is...
The soon to be released novel that I have just reviewed...BITE MARKS by Drew Cross. NOT a vampire novel...this is a beautifully written thriller and psychological suspense novel.
I try not to think about the past, as if this could somehow make it cease to have existed, striving not to visit my memories often, although they often choose to visit me; shadows in the corners of my thoughts which I push away without acknowledgement, afraid that they might break down the mask that I wear to face the world each day.
The creature that I seek is haunted too. I can feel the twin snakes of rage and pain in his thoughts now and hear the metronymic beat in the chasm where his heart should be.

Brief Bio of Author Drew Cross.
Drew Cross is a married father of two from Nottingham, England. A former model and ex-police officer (but sadly never a model police officer!), he now masquerades as a financial adviser and trainer for a large UK retail bank.

He has a keen interest in Eastern philosophy, heavy metal music and Goth subculture; and when he's not toddler-wrangling, Weimaraner wrestling and talking about himself in the third person, Drew likes to practice martial arts, cook South East Asian cuisine, and meditate.
Great teaser, this does sound interesting.
ReplyDeleteHi Soooz,
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a great read and I love the teaser lines you chose.
I checked out Drew's website and see that the book has also been released with an alternative cover, which I have to say, I much prefer.
I am off to search out your review, as I am still not convinced that it isn't a vampire story.
Regardless, it is still going to be added to my wish list.
Yvonne
That cover is creepy--I don't like it! Great teaser though!

ReplyDeleteI feel serene here, love the water. Great detailed teaser (and the author is cute too!)
I am very delighted that you are my first follower. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of psychological thrillers; I am faint at heart and easily scared, but it does seem interesting. I will check it out as soon as I can.
Sounds like an interesting read. If you hadn't had told me it wasn't about vampires I probably would have thought it because of the cover says bloodlust on it. And you know bloodlust and vampire are always connected.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog to comment. I just finished The Gathering a few minutes ago - and it is excellent. Hope you enjoy reading it whenever you get to it.
I though it was about vampires too! I like the teaser, I will definitely have to check it out. Also I just have to say, the author is extremely hot!
