Theme Thursdays is a fun weekly event that will be open from one Thursday to the next. Anyone can participate in it. The rules are simple:
- A theme will be posted each week (on Thursday’s)
- Select a conversation/snippet/sentence from the current book you are reading
- Mention the author and the title of the book along with your post
- It is important that the theme is conveyed in the sentence (you don’t necessarily need to have the word)
Ex: If the theme is KISS; your sentence can have “They kissed so gently” or “Their lips touched each other” or “The smooch was so passionate”
This week’s theme is very related to the ear – any action that you do with your ear.
HEAR
listen, anything else you can come up with the ear’s actions etc...
My thanks to Kavyen at reading between the pages for hosting Theme Thursday.

MY POST on the theme of HEAR is
An excerpt from "Faint Echoes of Laughter " by Stacey Danson.
The week was up, and he was coming around to see me and expected an answer.
I had decided to say no.
He arrived a little late as always; I took him outside to sit in the fresh air on the balcony where I had a couple of beers in the chiller waiting.
I felt ill. My nerves were in scrambled egg mode.
Jeff was very quiet for a while, and then he said quietly, “It’s no, isn’t it? No, don’t say anything yet. Okay? Hear me out.”
He shifted and turned around completely to face me and took my hand in his, “I will never expect you to do anything you aren’t happy with, Stacey. You have mentioned a few times now that you have stuff … bad stuff in your past. I want you to know I don’t care about that, whatever it is. If you want to tell me that’s fine, but I promise you I will never ask. Do you love me?”
As an aside to the folks reading this post who may not be aware that Stacey Danson is my pen name, and I am the author of "Faint Echoes of Laughter".
Awwwww.. I already like this guy. Why was her answer No in the first place?
ReplyDeleteGlad you are back sooz. Have a good day.
